## About the AMIRNET test (source: NITE, nite.org.il)
- A computerized English test by the National Institute for Testing and Evaluation (NITE), used by Israeli academic institutions for English placement and exemption.
- From the December 2026 administration, English is separated from the psychometric entrance test (PET), which keeps only verbal and quantitative reasoning. AMIRNET is the only test used to assess English level; separate registration, available year round. Earlier PET English scores stay valid for at least 7 years.
- Since April 2026 examinees can hear the texts and questions with reading software, and the test may include an experimental writing section.
- Question types: sentence completion, restatement, reading comprehension. Scores range 50–150; 134+ usually grants full exemption from English courses (check your institution).
- Registration fee: ₪315. Results within 10 days. At least 35 days between attempts.
- The app is not affiliated with NITE.
